Blonde Culture in Cochrane, Alberta was designed with a good vibes experience in mind.  From the second you walk through the door, this little boho shop hits you differently.  Blonde Culture’s thoughtfully created space will have you never wanting to leave because your experience goes beyond the chair offering a great selection of retail hair products, jewellery, and folky accessories.

Blonde Culture strives to be an eco-friendly salon and the products they use, carry and offer in their retail, adhere to these guidelines.  From the lights that illuminate the salon to the water-saving fixtures and strict recycling policy, protecting the Rocky Mountains that surround the salon is paramount to their mantra and business.

We had a few questions for owner/founder Tanessa Lenay about her fresh approach to her salon environment.  “My overall concept for the salon is offering specialised blonding in a very relaxed intimate environment.  I wanted my salon design to be very airy and minimal with clean whites, gold accents, wood features, warm beiges and hints of greenery.  We have a little boutique area in the salon where we carry Living Proof, Olaplex and hair tools.  We also support local Canadian brands like Anian jackets, Anupya hats, Nadare jewellery, soaps and more.”

“My signature style is a bright beachy blonde, whether that’s a low maintenance blonde or full highlight to the root.  My techniques I like to use are baby-lights with a root tap, balayage or a foil-ayage to create these looks.”

Blonde Culture is a sustainable boutique salon created for the love of blondes.  With over a decade of industry experience, although they specialise in all things blonde they love to colour outside the lines.
